Unfortunately, much of the original complex that surrounded the centerpiece tower is gone.

This would be the BioMuseum in Panama City.  Within a five minute drive of it you can see vast avian , mammalian and reptilian diversity.  I fee sorry for tourists who focus on just the canal and Panama City, overlooking the incredible wildlife.

You're right, biodiversity is what that small country is all about. I don't think all the exhibits are in the museum yet. I'm off to Panama again on Tuesday and may be able to check it out.

You might want to check our site for Barbara's trip notes on Panama, and the photo galleries section for my photos.  Have a wonderful trip.  Sadly, this museum was just being build when we were in Panama.  We should return.
