Well done John, absolutely correct. It's in the grounds of Frogmore House close to Windsor Castle. https://www.royalcollection.org.uk/visit/frogmorehouse

From what I remember, and it's a long time since I visited, it is only open maybe once per year generally around last weekend in August, as far I can remember, and is well worth making the trip to see inside. V & A are interred there, and the ground outside has the graves of many Royal Family members.  I think you need to book your visit.

Built by Victoria after Albert's death to house his remains and her's, after her passing.

So over to you.

OK, this one is relatively easy, though not quite the usual view.

Thank you John; I'm beginning to run out of material, as I wrote in an earlier post. Here's one though:

The only one I know of that looks remotely like that is Hampton Court palace, but I don't know that view.

Brian and Christopher, my sentiments exactly. It's very reminiscent indeed of Hampton Court, but there are significant differences from the views of HC which I have; perhaps mine are all of a different "courtyard" - this one seems somehow more tightly enclosed.

This is very different from Hampton Court, though there are similarities - it's rather more domestic, though still very large  - maybe the largest 'house' in Britain. A clue - it is also thought to have a connection with the numbers 365, 12 and 7. Here's the opposite view to the original photo:

Well done John, indeed it is. I had never been until last August despite having read a great deal about it. Very interesting, though the National Trust only show a small part of it (the Sackvilles still have some of it) and it is one of those rather gloomy and 'dusty' country houses. It is thought to be a 'Calendar' house, with 365 rooms, 12 entrances, 52 staircases and 7 courtyards.

Your turn!

Christopher
