I'm waiting for a Summaron 2,8cm f5,6 I have ordered on the net. Already have the Metabones adapter with 6 small "holes" (sorry my English, couldn't find the word..) in the mount ready to fill with black and white paint.

I know it is probably not neccessary to code this lens, but it could be fun to try...Suggestions on what code to use?

I used my one sometimes on M8... coding is welcome by sure : no idea about which is the best, but join the opinion that "an old 28" makes sense... of course, take care that your LTM adapter is also for 28 focal (you need code AND correct frame activation to have correction applied).

And... do not forget that Summaron 2,8 is an A36 fliter lens... you must find a solution for the UVIR filter (I have a step-up ring for E39... it prevents the use of original hood, which is anyway very difficult to find... I verified that a round hood for 35 mm is good, onto M8)

Hi all,

The lens arrived in good shape...it is so tiny!...Was out already the first day to test the lens on my M8. The 6-bit-coded adapter worked at first try (I chose Elmarit Ver3) While waiting for a UV/IR solution I took the filter from my Summarit35 and taped in onto the Summaron. I had no lens hood. I discovered that the lens is very sensitive to flare and straylight, but otherwise I was very pleased with the result. I was positively surprised at the results. Of course ,one can probably see that the pictures are not taken with a modern Asph lens....I guess the lens can be used if you are looking for a special (a bit soft) effect /mood.

I don't know if the "some faint cleaning marks and very light haze" has much imapct om my photos?

Anyway.........here they are
