So as I am new here, I should introduce myself.

I am basically Electrical Engineer, working abroad, which help me a lot to visit some countries, and approaching different cultures, I am kind of specialist of Middle East countries.

I started shooting with Nikon FM, then had a couple of cameras, still shooting Nikon with a D700, some AIS Lenses, and some AF ones too.

I am using also some m4/3 cameras (E-P1, E-P2, E-P3), a Nex 5 that I like these days.

Finally decided to buy a Leica M8.2 with a Zeiss 50 F1.5 sonnar .... and waiting for it :p

Finally, I received the Camera, and used it for the full afternoon, tomorrow I'll go outside to try it on the field.

Was thinking about getting the 2 Following Lenses to add to the 50 Zeiss I have now :

LEICA M 21/4 SUPER ANGULON

Konica Minolta Telephoto 90mm f/4 M-Rokkor Lens

Can anyone tell me if it is a good choice with the M8.2

Thanks

The wide-angle lens is very old and will probably not meter correctly in an M8. It will work, but more modern Leica lenses will give you generally better results. Which lenses? Well it depends on your interests. A good choice would be to get a 28mm and a 90mm which would make a balanced set with your 50mm.

The Super-Angulon-M 21/4 will work but metering won't be possible with it according to the M8.2 manual (page 102). The tiny Voigtlander 21/4 P is inexpensive and very good indeed. Another option would be the new Leica Super-Elmar 21/3.4 but i have no experience with it.

I would suggest the Zeiss Biogon 21 ZM 2.8 if you want something wide. With the "crop" of the M8, the Zeiss 21 doesn't require an external finder, What you see in the window is what you get. The Zeiss is very sharp, even wide open, and the color is superb. B&W work is very strong with this lens as well.

Congrats & welcome aboard.
