Advertisement Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Hi tmldds, Take a look here Beauty in Death. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
57andrew Posted June 12, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2011 Tri, both are beautiful renditions. I have a marginal preference for BW because I think the texture comes out better. Yellow is a colour I find hard to handle anyway.
allamande Posted June 12, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 12, 2011 Tri, I like your work with these. I think the color works better for me because that added dimension has a lot to say about decay which gets masked in BW. Ece
tmldds Posted June 12, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted June 12, 2011 I prefer the color one as well since it softness balances out the unforgiving decaying process. Tri:)
maurometallo Posted June 12, 2011 Share #5 Posted June 12, 2011 Both beautiful, but the B/W wins my heart!
Michael Hiles Posted June 12, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 12, 2011 This picture's message is about graphic patterns in nature. For me, the B&W is a picture worthy of a print, the colour is a record.

daveleo Posted June 12, 2011 Share #8 Posted June 12, 2011 I prefer the color one as well since it softness balances out the unforgiving decaying process. Tri:) I agree . . . too beautiful! edit: maybe I'd like the B&W as much is the contrast was dialed back a click or two ? ? The B&W photo is an object in itself, while the color version is a beautiful "record" (to steal the word) of softly dying the flowers.
Bill Allsopp Posted June 12, 2011 Share #9 Posted June 12, 2011 The colour version borders on unpleasant to me; the B&W conversion has been superbly done and the textures and tones are spot on. Print and hang!

pauledell Posted June 12, 2011 Share #12 Posted June 12, 2011 Tri, Both are excellent but I like the b&w the most with its lovely tones and clarity. Paul
George James Posted June 12, 2011 Share #13 Posted June 12, 2011 My vote would be B+w.

MA-Sweden Posted June 13, 2011 Share #15 Posted June 13, 2011 Hi Tri, Two beautiful pictures, and my favourite is the coloured picture. Very good.
MarkP Posted June 13, 2011 Share #16 Posted June 13, 2011 I love the B&W. This is about tone and texture and decay which is best served by B&W I agree with Bill's description of the colour Well done. Mark
