Herbert,

 

very engaging portrait, good light and a well caught expression.

 

I'm pleased you sorted out the issues you had last time and reposted. One of many more to come, I hope.

I assume you do BW scanning (what else ...). If you do this how do you remove dust which is scanned in? The ICE function of my Nikon Coolscan 5000 does this only for colour.

The ICE function will not work with silver film, as you know. Personally, I am very careful with dust when I scan my silver negs, and am prepared to "spot" them once they have been scanned.

 

This one is much better than the previous one and is a very honest portrait.

One constructive point, which others might disagree with, is that I would have cropped maybe 5-10mm off of the blank top of the portrait, to focus attention on the very effective 'looking down' expression.
