jaapv Posted May 17, 2011 Share #31 Posted May 17, 2011 Hi Jaap, Now is a chance for the majority to comment! I'm fully aware of the limitations of this. I'm a physician, have done research and statistical analysis before, and am aware of limitations of such an approach. but lets see what we get. Realisitcally there is NO other way we will get any information, unless we set up a formal study with forum members. This is an opportunity for satisfied users, and those with problems to briefly say so and specifically leave whingeing to other threads. Please join in and see what we get. We have always felt that the 'silent majority' of satisfied users don't comment as they have no complaint so lets see. I assume you are a 'satisfied user'?? Let's see if we can do this in a collegial and pleasant manner! Regards, Mark PS: Now you have already upset our colleague K-H, so lets keep all comments out of this thread other than + or - (and list) PLEASE Happy to see my dire prediction has not materialized Keep it up fellas! sydkugelmass Posted May 17, 2011 Share #37 Posted May 17, 2011 (-) 3 weeks - camera freeze when using speed level 4 SanDisk Ultra 8 Gb. - camera freeze when a defective area is encountered writing on a SD card. The same card, with the same defect is perfectly usable on a Lumix G10. - It is very difficult to use the "memory" position of the shooting control: very short throw with too subtle mechanical "tick". - 13 (thirteen) oil (?) residues on the sensor since the first day of use. Great camera, but not without some problems about quality control.

jaapv Posted May 17, 2011 Share #39 Posted May 17, 2011 (-) 3 weeks - camera freeze when using speed level 4 SanDisk Ultra 8 Gb. So you are using your cards in two different cameras? That is a nearly certain way to create the faults you describe - pilot, not camera error I would say.
zlatkob Posted May 17, 2011 Share #40 Posted May 17, 2011 14 months, over 10,000 exposures, no major problems. A few corrupt frames. Exterior finish shows wear more easily than that on my Canons.
