Advertisement Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Hi DES, Take a look here The 560 Telyt. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
albert Posted May 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice Number two is my favorite which shows the attitude of this male sparrow. His beak and some of his tummy feathers are sharply focused.
stuny Posted May 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2011 DES - These are quite lovely. I think #1 would be stronger with a bit of white balance and a slight increase in shadow slider.

svenning Posted May 8, 2011 Share #6 Posted May 8, 2011 Well done (!) I know personally how hard it is to work with the Leitz 400 mm f/6.8 - so you have done very well. Thanks for sharing. All the best - Svenning, Denmark.
Hank Taylor Posted May 8, 2011 Share #7 Posted May 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lovely shots liked them both It make me want to get out my 350 mm f4.8 with an APO extender R2X and give it a try. Best regards Hank

a.noctilux Posted May 10, 2011 Share #9 Posted May 10, 2011 DES, maestro sparrow shoots. ... Have you used Series VII UV/IR filter ? "Yellow dot" or "black dot" (on your Visoflex III, if that's you used) for these dynamic pictures ? Thanks. Arnaud
leicanut2 Posted May 12, 2011 Share #10 Posted May 12, 2011 Very nice, I was going to sell my viso and 560mm till I saw some of the new posts using the 400 and 560mm It has given me a reason to take it out and use it. Cheers Jan

DES Posted May 13, 2011 Author Share #12 Posted May 13, 2011 DES, maestro sparrow shoots.... Have you used Series VII UV/IR filter ? "Yellow dot" or "black dot" (on your Visoflex III, if that's you used) for these dynamic pictures ? Thanks. Arnaud No I do not have the Series VII UV/IR filters I think the IR would be good on my M8!! I will have to look out for one:). And I use the Black dot, It saves relying on the synchronization of the mirror, and also vibration. Thank you all for your kind words.

Washington Posted May 15, 2011 Share #16 Posted May 15, 2011 I appreciate them all as I have a lot of trouble focusing mine with a bum hand… the lens slides fine but I just don’t have the delicacy of control to hit focus and stop… so I have to do a bunch of back and forth until (maybe) I got it. Good job!
DES Posted May 16, 2011 Author Share #17 Posted May 16, 2011 Thank you all for your comments. Washington...I have a heck of a job with this beast having two working hands so how you would manage with only one working well I don't know. It makes me laugh because on the instruction booklet it says Rapid Focuis!!!
Washington Posted May 17, 2011 Share #18 Posted May 17, 2011 DES, I am working on the lens right now because I do believe I have come up with a solution for more accurate focusing and ease/accurate use. And not just for my problem! More later.

Delfi_r Posted May 17, 2011 Share #20 Posted May 17, 2011 Great images, I need to try out the 560. I've tried the 400 and I know that's hard to use without tripod so I am very impressed with those beautiful images.
