Stealth3kpl Posted April 30, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've some LegacyPro400 shot at 1600. I was thinking of souping it (sorry Bill ) in Xtol or Microphen. The intention is low contrast negs for scanning. Are there any other recommendations? Xmas Posted May 1, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2011 Hi Pete Uprating film normally uprates the contrast prorata. The safety factor in normal ISO allows shooting at x2 times the ISO, and 'normal dev'... The C41 monos may be more suitable than retained silver for high contrast shots, depends on subject contrast and what you want. topoxforddoc Posted May 2, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 2, 2011 Pete, No problem rating Legacy Pro 400 at 1600. I do this all the time for my concert and low light work. I soup my Legacy/Neopan 400 in XTOL 1:1 at the published Kodak times with 3-4 inversions a minute. This works fine for scanning and wet printing. Best wishes,
