Thank you, Stuart, this is exactly right.

I was coming down Rt. 285/24 from Trout Creek Pass going south/west - suddenly, during the descent, the landscape opened up enormously, and this gigantic rock stood there, dominating over the wide floodplain of the Arkansas River... Breathtaking. The photo does not do it justice. This is Mt. Princeton with almost 14,200 ft.

Thank you, Stephan.  I'll make a point of fining this scene when I next visit my niece.

Let's try this one.  I won't ask you to be too exact since I've forgotten exactly where I was.  shot from a Cessna 185 amphibian aircraft.
