Thanks,

the only true aerial photo I currently have dates from 2003, shot with D-Lux2 through helicopter plexiglass window, so details not sharp really. Anyway the scene shows a river that is the border between two countries, which?

Thank You for the interest and rapid response,

it is the border between Finland and Norway, so Your turn "larsv".

And yes, photo was taken from the eastern side, but further north from Karasjokha which flows in Norway only and joins the border river Anarejokha. There on the border river is called Teno/Tana/Deatnu.

Regards,

Arto

Thank you, Arto.  My father in law (at 92 years) is currently on the Hurtigruten, also visiting the North Cape.  Still on my to go to list.

So, here goes: Where are we and what is the name of the body of water.

Hello Lars,

It looks like somewhere in the Pyrenees. But I can not think of anywhere in the Pyrenees where there is a river or a lake that looks like this.

None the less, to have this out of people's thoughts as per a possible spot, I would like to guess:

Is this somewhere in or near The Pyrenees?

Best Regards,

Michael
