RPS Posted March 18, 2013 Share #2062 Â Posted March 18, 2013 Brent - yes, the process of elimination is drawing you closer. But, you're not quite there yet.
fotografr Posted March 18, 2013 Share #2063 Â Posted March 18, 2013 If it's not the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area, then I give up.
RPS Posted March 18, 2013 Share #2064 Â Posted March 18, 2013 Brent: Â No, that's not where I was, but don't give up yet. Â Additional hint: the wilderness area shown in my image is more than twice the size of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area combined. Â Hang in there -- you'll get it.
fotografr Posted March 19, 2013 Share #2065 Â Posted March 19, 2013 Absaroka Beartooth. Has to be!
RPS Posted March 19, 2013 Share #2066 Â Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Brent -- your patience and persistence has been rewarded -- over to you ! Â By the way - if you're ever in the area - the Beartooth Highway, which runs between Cooke City, MT and Red Lodge, MT through the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness (via northern Wyoming), is a spectacular drive. However, depending on your travel dates, just be sure to confirm that it's open - Beartooth Pass frequently is closed (due to heavy snow accumulation) from early October until after Memorial Day. Short season. Edited March 19, 2013 by RPS

dcoombs Posted March 20, 2013 Share #2075 Â Posted March 20, 2013 Thanks. The shot could have been taken from the house of a very good friend of mine who we have visited. He was born and raised there. That's why it was so familiar. Â I'll come up with something shortly. Â Doug
