Esquire... on to you.

Its a sandbank formation between Eleuthera and Nassau. This picture was made just north of the Freetown, Eleuthera peninsula. I was on a plane traveling between Ft. Lauderdale and San Juan. The colors were neon, electric blues and greens. Just amazing.

From the possible appearance of the passenger liner (twin funnels) and the possible appearance of a large big gun warship... I think this is an image of the Philadelphia - Camden port area... with the BB New Jersey on the right and the SS United States on the left.

As Pres. Kennedy is reported to have said... of the larger nearby city...

"all of the charm of the north and the efficiency of the south".

Here is a detail much enlarged... that should help.

I figured that building would be the tip-off, but I don't know it. JFK was describing Washington DC with his quip, and the building is the Masonic Memorial. Google showed me a picture of the building in Alexandria -- I've been to Alexandria but I do not remember the building.

Even though there is no town in sight in this image it should be pretty easy to guess the name of the near-by town taken from a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter.
