Advertisement Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Hi Stealth3kpl, Take a look here Leicagoodies Shade. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bill Posted April 6, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 6, 2011 Yes. Don't bother. Regards, Bill
pico Posted April 6, 2011 Share #3 Posted April 6, 2011 It works for me. Before I added it to an M4-P there were times I could hardly see the focus rectangle. The shade fixed the problem. But that's only one case. What model would you put it on?
jaapv Posted April 6, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 6, 2011 Yes- the adhesive held for three days.
menos I M6 Posted April 7, 2011 Share #5 Posted April 7, 2011 I didn't try it, but I use a small rectangular piece of 3M vinyl tape about quarter the surface of the window on my M6. It sits in the middle of the window and dims the bright lines to a level, where I can still sufficiently read them. It prevents complete white out sufficiently. I plan, to have the finder upgraded at some point, but this little tape trick helps.

I do the same and haven't noticed any problem since adopting this technique. It would be nice if there were a neater solution though. Pete

Xmas Posted April 7, 2011 Share #8 Posted April 7, 2011 The independent repair people may be able to do something cheaper, CRR luton did a rfdr upgrade to mine while it was in for a shutter ribbon and general service... Noel
cbretteville Posted April 7, 2011 Share #9 Posted April 7, 2011 I am afraid, the only neater solution available costs 250,- upwards and includes opening up the top deck and doing some fiddle and an extra part or two ;-) Worth every penny IMHO, it made my M6 a much more usable camera. I just couldn't deal with the white-outs after using an M8 and seeing how well its finder worked.

nikau Posted April 8, 2011 Share #11 Posted April 8, 2011 I had one on each of the M6s I used to own and thought they were worthwhile. Never had a problem with one falling off, either.
ZoomP Posted April 9, 2011 Share #12 Posted April 9, 2011 I love it!!! Tested a situation when my M9 flared. The M6 didn't!!! Besides, the black color filter makes the camera even more stealth.
rfc Posted April 9, 2011 Share #13 Posted April 9, 2011 Used it before and it definitely works. The only problem is after a while the adhesive loses it stickiness and it dropped off my camera without me noticing. I never bothered getting another one.
