A new definition of a "low rider"

The one real downside of the Recumbent Cycle, the Lotus 7 and similar forms of transport is the sheer risk of not being seen and getting turned into ad Hoc tyre chains by a larger vehicle.

Here in Somerset, the thrill seekers simply ride bikes in black hoodies without any lights...

actually it's not a recumbent bike, but a handbike. using a conventional bicycle is usually not an option if the legs can't do the work.

top marathon times are a little bit over 1 hour. can you do that on your bikes? i can't.

Thank you for your comments (and Robert, very funny). I did worry for her safety and hoped she'd just ride in Central Park. About an hour later we passed a man with a similar hand-powered bike not three blocks from here. He didn't have any flags, but he was dressed as though on the Tour de France.
