stuny Posted March 18, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted March 18, 2011 Al - Â Almost like a 19th century realist painting. Beautiful, but I think it would be stronger with a bit of the right cropped.

allamande Posted March 19, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted March 19, 2011 I LOVE this. I actually prefer the original version because Felix is fully enveloped in the glow, the effect is stronger (IMO). Either way, it's a beautiful image. Â Ece

daveleo Posted March 19, 2011 Share #8 Â Posted March 19, 2011 What a beautiful piece of work ! ! Â Absolutely. Â I disagreed with Stuart until I saw #2, now I agree with him, but either way, this is too nice.
Bob Jackson Posted March 20, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted March 20, 2011 This is a beautiful photo, and yes, it does remind me of an early Dutch painting. The light and setting are perfect, or purrfect as Felix would obviously say.

soo Posted March 23, 2011 Share #15 Â Posted March 23, 2011 Adore the classic Dutch painitings which this strongly reminds of. Rembrandt would have loved it. So do I.
geaibleu Posted March 23, 2011 Share #16 Â Posted March 23, 2011 Yes, just great! Similarity indeed with Dutch artists of the mid 1600's like Willem Kalf, for their ability to paint metal, be it copper or silver, with their special glow. Love it. clinchico Posted March 23, 2011 Share #18 Â Posted March 23, 2011 Al By far one of your best images IMO. Like Stuart said this could be a painting by one of the old masters. You need to print and frame it. Herb
