MPerson Posted January 9, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted January 9, 2011 Fish - I agree with Andy nice presentation and subtle colour. This is so English and if it isn't I am really stuffed! Â PS. Maybe straighten the horizontal on the tree in the garden shot.

epand56 Posted January 11, 2011 Share #14 Â Posted January 11, 2011 These Voigtlander lenses are sometimes really surprising. Wonderful series, very neat and of a charming simplicity.

thompsonkirk Posted January 11, 2011 Share #16  Posted January 11, 2011 If that's banal, then banal is beautiful!  Like Virgil, I wish you'd continue with this project & make a whole portfolio out of it.  Here's a similar & completed/extended project by a friend of mine. It might inspire you to carry on!  helloari gallery  Kirk
Michael-IIIf Posted January 12, 2011 Share #17 Â Posted January 12, 2011 Lovely toning, colours, composition and clarity but what really stands out is the story: quite voyeuristic, in a few well-chosen frames we see deeply into this woman's life. An excellent series in every way. Â Â What I don't like - and I acknowledge it's a trivial bit of gear-head nit picking in such a moving artistic collection - is the barrel distortion from the lens. When I saw the first couple of frames I thought: "whoa, that's bad a Leica" then I glanced back up at the lens details. A bit of PhotoShop tweaking would work wonders.
