Rolo, everything is fine with this picture of an impressive landscape except the blue gradual filter which reminds me of the kitschy 1980´s landscape posters ;)

Did you use a Cokin filter or was that postprocessing at home?

If there is a grad filter there, then it's been very well handled given that it was shot on an M. That must be incrdibly difficult to get right.

This is a lovely shot.

Ron - if you don't like grad filters, don't whatever you do buy any photographic magazines (certainly over here). If the Canon and MF landscape shooters aren't using at least one if not two ND filters, plus the odd tobacco and a polariser, then they don't bother setting up the tripod.

There are two, very famous and very rich landscapers over here, who have made far too big an influence on the market, IMHO. All these landscapes look the same. Very clinical, as if it's done by formula.

If I still drove in and supported the Welsh economy, I'd fancy a drive out there myself this weekend.

Thanks guys,

here's a version that has hung on my wall for the last couple of years. It's how the slide looks and it was Photoshop that removed the added blue tint. So Rona|d, it's the opposite of your suggestion.

Can't remember if I'd been shooting with daylight film in a tungsten environment the day before and left the filter on, or was just being ultra-creative. Matters not, I liked the outcome and so does everyone that sees the blue print. :-)

Regards,

Rolo
