FiZZ Posted December 3, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I just saw this. Â It looks like a fake. Anyone has any info on it?It seems to be an M6 body with inverted controls but a classic M3 shutter dial. Some Flickr users are claiming it's an early (or late) April Fool's joke. What do you guys think?

I had a VX1000 in the late 60's and it was beautiful piece of kit. And I've recently had my brother-in-laws Varex IIb overhauled by Newton Ellis in Liverpool and we are just waiting on the results of the first film through since having it back. Surprisingly enough though neither he nor I are left handed but it was an absolute delight using them .  Best of luck in your hunt.  Mike

All examples I have found are very well worn, strongly used. The only example in very good shape was with a collector - who don't use it at all.  Martin
lars_bergquist Posted December 4, 2010 Share #16 Â Posted December 4, 2010 I'm lefthanded, but I always found the Exaktas, from the Kine-Exakta on, quite awkward. Still, we are most of us slightly ambidextrous and can transfer skills from the right to the left hand, or vice versa. I learned to fly with my right paw on the joystick. I have always shot pistols and revolvers with my left hand, but shoulder arms of various persuasions from my right shoulder. Â The Leica left hand releases were intended for people who simply did not have a right hand. Lots of those in Germany aftger the World Wars. Plain southpaws can always re-learn. adan Posted December 8, 2010 Share #19 Â Posted December 8, 2010 The good news about that camera is the first post is that the negs can be scanned from the emulsion side and still be right 'way around. Â The bad news is darkroom workers will have to turn their enlargers around to face the wall to make prints right side up. Â
