fotografr Posted July 11, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 11, 2006 Great shot, Conrad. If that was just a quick snap, I wonder what you might have done if you had really put something into it. ;-) Cheers

wbesz Posted July 11, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 11, 2006 The background makes the subject stand out nicely. It's interesting that you can so casually walk past, so where is it that you can do that? (interesting background)

Montreal, in the summer, is the city of festivals, most of them have outside venues which are free to the public and streets are closed off to allow for pedestrian traffic only. The stages are often set-up right in the middle of an intersection.
Overgaard Posted July 12, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 12, 2006 Actually very nice. Seems the combination of the spendid 90mm and the DMR (and you behond the camera) makes great pictrues. What does the C1 stands for?
mgcd Posted July 12, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted July 12, 2006 Actually very nice. Seems the combination of the spendid 90mm and the DMR (and you behond the camera) makes great pictrues. What does the C1 stands for? Thanks Thorsten. C1 is Capture One Pro, a RAW converter by Phase One. Arguably the best RAW converter out there for DMR files (among others). dan_drabek Posted July 12, 2006 Share #10 Posted July 12, 2006 Great angle. Nice impact. Wish I would have a few of those fall in my lap. DD
mgcd Posted July 12, 2006 Author Share #11 Posted July 12, 2006 Thanks Dan. When I thought about it again, serendipity only got me in front of that stage when it did. The band was doing a sound check and I took a few quick snaps. I found this singer to be rather photogenic. However, I really wasn't in the mood to shoot the event, don't care much for crowds unless I'm actually working.
