R8/DMR, 90mm f/2 Summicron R, 400 ISO, C1

A quick snapshot of a back-up singer during a soundcheck at the Jazz Festival here in town. I don't know the band, I was just passing by on my way to meet a friend for dinner.

The background makes the subject stand out nicely. It's interesting that you can so casually walk past, so where is it that you can do that?

Thanks. Montreal, in the summer, is the city of festivals, most of them have outside venues which are free to the public and streets are closed off to allow for pedestrian traffic only. The stages are often set-up right in the middle of an intersection.

Actually very nice. Seems the combination of the spendid 90mm and the DMR (and you behond the camera) makes great pictrues.

What does the C1 stands for?

Thanks Thorsten. C1 is Capture One Pro, a RAW converter by Phase One. Arguably the best RAW converter out there for DMR files (among others).

Thanks Dan. When I thought about it again, serendipity only got me in front of that stage when it did. The band was doing a sound check and I took a few quick snaps. I found this singer to be rather photogenic. However, I really wasn't in the mood to shoot the event, don't care much for crowds unless I'm actually working. :D
