Red Dot Cameras Posted October 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All, I wondered if anyone would be interested in a nighttime/evening walk along the thames embankment. I thought that we could do this on Saturday the 27th November, meeting around 6.00 in the evening and maybe going out for a meal after. Seeingeye Posted October 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 21, 2010 Hi All,I wondered if anyone would be interested in a nighttime/evening walk along the thames embankment. I thought that we could do this on Saturday the 27th November, meeting around 6.00 in the evening and maybe going out for a meal after. Ivor (Red Dot Cameras) Hi Ivor Good idea, as there are a number of good photo opportunities at night along there - Charing Cross railway station looks quite spectacular when it is lit up, for example. I am not sure what the current arrangements are, but I have heard in the past that due to the number of people that congregate in the County Hall area between Westminster Bridge and the London Eye, the tripod police are in operation there. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to start a bit earlier to get the twilight when there is still some colour left in the sky. That's assuming, of course, that the day is not overcast at sunset. Unfortunately, I have something else on that day, otherwise I would have tagged along. Tim B Posted October 21, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2010 Good idea, Ivor. Need to check my work schedule, but I'm up for it if it fits. And, yes, maybe meet a little earlier. Riverside by dusk and night makes for good pictures. Tim

biglouis Posted October 22, 2010 Share #10 Posted October 22, 2010 Ivor, yes - I would really like to do this so count me in. I agree that earlier start time, possibly 15:30-16:00 would probably be better depending on the weather. LouisB
Red Dot Cameras Posted October 23, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted October 23, 2010 Hi All OK The reason I suggested 6.00pm is because I have other commitments on the day, However I will meet anyone who wishes,at 5.00pm on the south side of Tower Bridge. Look forward to seeing you then. Ivor.

Xmas Posted November 5, 2010 Share #16 Posted November 5, 2010 Hi Ivor Thanks for invitation, I'll try and make it if I possibly can. I'll bring monopod, camera cradle, and fast lenses, - today I stopped street shooting at 14:00 the light just went, but with 800 ISO and monopod I should be ok. Are we gonna do and Indian or Ch?
