andrewwenn@mac.com Posted September 26, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Has anyone else had the experience of the aperture ring on Summarit 75mm or similar lens popping loose and then seizing up? If so is it easily repairable or does it have to go back to Leica? I was hoping to use it on a field next weekend so it is a nuisance that it has happened just now. giordano Posted September 26, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2010 From your description it's probably easily repairable by a camera mechanic with experience of M lenses, though if it's under warranty it should be done by Leica.
250swb Posted September 26, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 26, 2010 Consider the time and/or expense it may take either Leica or a reliable repair technician to do the job, that may be the decider. Steve

masjah Posted September 28, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2010 Andrew At the risk of asking the obvious, you don't say whether or not the lens is still under warranty? If it is, then getting a thrid party to work on it may well compromise this.
