Advertisement Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Hi Rolo, Take a look here Beside the Sea IV. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elansprint72 Posted January 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2007 I was going to guess Tintside Lido, Plymouth, but they have removed the diving boards, so I'll go for....... Blackpool North Shore, or Morcambe; both of which are guesses. This is just a little too heavy, imho, but hey........ etc. Cheers, Pete. p.s. Are you coming to Chester? azzo Posted January 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2007 This is not too heavy but fantastically rendered IMHO, Rolo. Best Azzo

andybarton Posted January 8, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2007 It's not Blackpool (I don't think), but it is good. Blackpool is the bane of my life this week, btw.
stuny Posted January 8, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 8, 2007 Rolo - Your very successful style tends towards heavy, and you use it exceptionally well. Very nice contrast, textures and near symmetry.

ddp Posted January 9, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 9, 2007 Rolo, Works for me. This looks like good old traditional B&W burning & dodging....something I seem to recall back in the wet darkroom days.
Rolo Posted January 9, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted January 9, 2007 Rolo, Works for me. This looks like good old traditional B&W burning & dodging....something I seem to recall back in the wet darkroom days. I never use the burn and dodge tools in Photoshop. Basically, the sky and pool areas have been treated separately with the pool getting more local treatment than the sky. Thanks to all for the comments.
