sthan2 Posted June 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you Andreas for this nice re-work / re-creation indeed As Mr Barton said : hurrah Just two questions to the distinguished members here (that might interest other than me) : - I received a mail from the german forum giving me a password, but not from the english one. Thus my main Leica english forum ID has disappeared - Will the former posts be integrated to the new forum or just archived ? Best to all Johan

LUF Admin Posted June 24, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 24, 2006 Looks a bit like RFF at first glance. Yes, same software (vbulletin). Andreas
rosuna Posted June 24, 2006 Share #7 Posted June 24, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) My username has changed to "imported_nemo". I did something wrong. My original user name was "Nemo". It would be a good idea to link this forum to the Leica website, like the old forum was. This software is more powerful and fast.
azfaz Posted June 24, 2006 Share #8 Posted June 24, 2006 Hi Andreas Greeting here from MALAYSIA. Received the email and activated. Btw, I think the posts counter has been reset to "0" Thanks.

gaetan Posted June 24, 2006 Share #11 Posted June 24, 2006 Congrat Andreas, the new forum is a total success. The layout is easy to read and navigate, the new features will prove to be extremely useful in the long term. I'm sold. ---- It is the same software than RFF but the color scheme you choose is very easy on the eyes and much more comfortable for a long period of browsing time. No puns intented on RFF wich is a great forum with lots of good info.
MrEd Posted June 24, 2006 Share #12 Posted June 24, 2006 Ok, I guess this is it. But if you asked me... I like the old foum better...I loved the simplicity, a four year old could use it...Now, it looks like I'm going to have to get another College degree to manuver this "thing". brunom Posted June 24, 2006 Share #13 Posted June 24, 2006 Andreas The old forum was simple but the script was too cramped, and although it could be enlarged it got boring having to do it all the time. Let's hope your new forum is a success and that you control the 'trolls' etc. Good luck. Bruno
peter_n Posted June 24, 2006 Share #14 Posted June 24, 2006 Newbie LCT here.Just trying to understand how it works. Looks a bit like RFF at first glance. Cheers to all. It does rather doesn't it? But that's OK - RFF is crashed at the moment... ~Peter
stunsworth Posted June 24, 2006 Share #15 Posted June 24, 2006 Peter, I believe they updating the software at RFF at the moment. However I have to say that I find RFF one of the most tedious forums on photo forums on the internet with it's almost total concentration of equipment not photographs. rick_dykstra Posted June 24, 2006 Share #16 Posted June 24, 2006 Hello everyone. I made it across OK despite being distracted by a replay of the Australia Croatia game. By God these Aussies are driving us all nuts, with their comebacks. Exciting stuff. Looking forward to the forum. Well done Andreas. Rick.
