Advertisement Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Hi Doc Henry, Take a look here On the arroyos.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted August 19, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 19, 2010 Henri - Very nice, and very typical of the region.
richam Posted August 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 19, 2010 Henry, Very nice scene. It might have been stronger if it had included the front of the boat and a little water ahead. This shot creates a bit of unnecessary tension about what's ahead. BTW, I thought arroyo was a dry river bed in an arid region. Does the name also apply to this area and wetland? richam Posted August 19, 2010 Share #5 Posted August 19, 2010 Odd cropping or framing.Arroyo: a small water course Thanks. Here's what my dictionary said: "a steep-sided gully cut by running water in an arid or semiarid region." Always appreciate the opportunity to improve my vocabulary. melissah Posted August 19, 2010 Share #6 Posted August 19, 2010 I would lighten the face a little more so my eye stays there, then there wouldnt be all this fuss about the cutting off of the boat or the definition of the delta!
pauledell Posted August 20, 2010 Share #7 Posted August 20, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Henry, A great shot. I like the colors, clarity and the composition. As has been stated before, it may have been stronger if the entire boat had been included but it doesn't bother me. In fact, I think it is just as important to include as much of the oars as possible. Paul
Doc Henry Posted August 20, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted August 20, 2010 Thank you Stuart,Richam,Leicabraz,Melissa and Paul, for the many constructive comments on this photo. I acknowledge that the photo should be improved. In fact, I am in a small boat and it spends a lot of people in these "arroyos" * , more accurate term : the Mekong delta is full of arroyos. I'll show you more photos M9 Summilux 50mm Asph Thanks again for your nice comments Best regards Henry * arroyos: Google Traduction
