wparsonsgisnet Posted January 3, 2011 Author Share #128 Posted January 3, 2011 Jaap et al, I am editing, and waiting for one more poster. The editing may beat the arrival of the last pix, however. I'll update after the weekend. Regards to all,

wparsonsgisnet Posted January 11, 2011 Author Share #130 Posted January 11, 2011 Tehnically, it's "after the weekend." I won't wait any longer for Wilfredo (c'mon, Man!) -- and as we're expecting to be in a white-out condition all of tomorrow, I'll be wrapping up the editing. Regards to all,
wparsonsgisnet Posted January 25, 2011 Author Share #131 Posted January 25, 2011 My apologies to those who have been holding their breath. All who will participate have done so and I am half-way thru the editing process. What beautiful pix these are. 1. I need hi-res images from Fabrizio, and 2. Gary P, the boxer image is withdrawn, right? Watch this space. Best regards,
picture Posted January 25, 2011 Share #132 Posted January 25, 2011 Hello Bill, sorry, I misunderstood your email earlier. I sent you two photo's: Zerthun (L1010725) and London pano (L9993347) and then the Boxer photo (L9997614) I'm still not sure weather you want to use two or three of my shots? I like the boxer shot, but technically it's a bit weak (not sharp focus) but if you think it will print OK please feel free to include it. Thanks, Gary. wparsonsgisnet Posted January 29, 2011 Author Share #133 Posted January 29, 2011 I have completed the editing of these wonderful images. This book is 140 pages, before the appendix, on which I'm starting now. I'm also seeking someone to host a pdf file of the book, so you can all review it before "publishing." Regards to all,
wparsonsgisnet Posted February 2, 2011 Author Share #134 Posted February 2, 2011 The book is available for your comments. Carl Bretteville has kindly agreed to host the PDF for downloading. If you go to: bretteville.com | The M8 Anniversary book you will see a description and a link that will download the PDF to your computer. NOTE: THIS IS A 300MB FILE, and takes a while to download. I have a fiber link and it took 10 minutes. When you get it, save it per Carl's suggestion, and see how it looks to you. 1. I have not yet put many page numbers in. If I put them in, the pix will be smaller. 2. I am working on the appendix, with all the pic info. 3. Please see if you like the order, and let me know what you think. You can't see the cover here. I have selected the tree in the desert, on page 93, for the front cover, and the starry sky, on page 85, for the back cover. Please let me know what you think of the layout and cover proposals. Thanks again to Carl Bretteville for facilitating this process thru his website. Regards to all,
trs Posted February 2, 2011 Share #135 Posted February 2, 2011 Wow, Bill, there you are again working hard. I was wondering where the thread went. It was under M8 and went away. Did not see it until now. For future reference, is there way to have sticky in multiple forum where applicable? I rarely get out of M8 forum since I am M8 owner. Too bad, I missed it. But looking forward to another great book Bill.
andybarton Posted February 2, 2011 Share #136 Posted February 2, 2011 This is not a camera specific thread, so is in the Customer section, where threads of general interest are placed. M8 owners are encouraged to read and contribute to every section in the forum. At Bill's request, I have made this a sticky once again, as he gets to the end of his task, so that people know that he is nearly finished. It will be unstuck at a later date. If every request for a sticky was made, the front page in every section would be full of stick threads, so they come and go as they are appropriate. alexmann Posted February 2, 2011 Share #138 Posted February 2, 2011 The book is available for your comments. Carl Bretteville has kindly agreed to host the PDF for downloading. If you go to: bretteville.com | The M8 Anniversary book . I found that It only worked by going through Bill's link- (it doesn't seem to work by typing it in Google anyway) Thanks Bill Regards Alex
cbretteville Posted February 2, 2011 Share #139 Posted February 2, 2011 The web crawlers can't find the page as it isn't linked from the front page. This is on purpose, it will be taken down once the book is published on Blurb. Carl
