Robinyuill Posted July 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there. Have just got started in Leica with a M8 and a couple of lenses. Now reminded of the luxury of an M3 I had in the 1980's and thinking of buying a film M, like M4 or M6. Just not sure about the processing of E6 slide film. Excuse the ignorance but I take it is still freely available and processed in the UK. Who would you recommend? I live in Scotland so any one local or is it all by mail to some far off place? Thanks for any info. Regards Robin.
Advertisement Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Hi Robinyuill, Take a look here Film Processing in UK?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MPerson Posted July 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 16, 2010 I have heard good things of these guys, even from people who use them from outside the UK. Can't comment on their prices as I only shoot B&W and process myself. Digital Lab in Newcastle No doubt someone more qualified can comment on their colour/E6 prices and supply other lab info. Guest suilvenman Posted July 16, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2010 From both Scotland and abroad, I've been sending both negative and E-6 films to Peak Imaging in Sheffield. Excellent work in both formats. With your first completed order, they include a Freepost cardboard envelope for future orders. Highly recommended. http://www.peak-imaging.com/htmls/film_processing.htm Ken.
rulnacco Posted July 17, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 17, 2010 I'll add one, although for you it would involve sending it off. Try Genie Imaging, which is located in Wandsworth, South London. Their online processing page can be found here: Digital photo prints and stickies, canvas prints and free digital photo sharing They process film (colour neg or slide, unmounted) for £1.99 per roll plus VAT. They use dip-and-dunk processing, and are quite quick and very professional. I use them often. It's *really* hard to figure out how to go about ordering film processing the first time you use their page, but once you get the hang of it they're one of the best around. earleygallery Posted July 18, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 18, 2010 If you're near to a Snappy Snaps branch they do E6, or but processed paid film!
}{B Posted July 18, 2010 Share #7 Posted July 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Slide film is available 'process paid' all you do is pop it in the envelope provided and send it off. Not forgeting to add your name and address. Alternatively you can buy non process paid slide film and either buy a third party mailer to send it off for processing or send the film to a lab. Do you want the slides mounted? With the process paid and third party mailer this is what you will get. With a lab you should have a choice.
