Michael Hiles Posted June 23, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2010 Great shots of an impressive instrument. Much like Leicas - they support the possibility of great art.

StS Posted June 23, 2010 Share #6 Posted June 23, 2010 Some time ago I saw a factory-serviced D-274 as a bargain in their showroom, which was as new. It was 110 years old.... Stefan
stuny Posted June 23, 2010 Share #7 Posted June 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Eddie - Is this the one your sister got when all you got was your leica? Beautiful instrument (and to hear too, no doubt) and your docuemntation of it is also beautiful.
pauledell Posted June 24, 2010 Share #8 Posted June 24, 2010 Eddie, A nice series of a great musical instrument. Both the Steinway and the Leica are at their best when used by a master of their art. Paul
lanetomlane Posted June 24, 2010 Share #9 Posted June 24, 2010 Great series. I particularly like the second set of images showing the detail of this magnificent instrument. _________________________ Regards, Tom Photography by Tom Lane

Steve - It's never too late to pick up the piano again Stuart - This is the piano she got, the way I see it; I get to play the piano whenever I please, but noone but me touches my Leica

Larry I agree with Larry Eddie, The close-ups are great.Getting more & more interested in the X1, just afraid the M6 will be jealous. ezc203 Posted June 27, 2010 Author Share #16 Posted June 27, 2010 Paulo - Firstly, thank you for your kind comments. Secondly, don't be worried! The X1 will NEVER replace a film M (it's coming VERY VERY close to replacing my M8 though ). There's something about a film M + a Leica 35 or 50 lens + a roll of Tri-X combination that simply cannot be replaced by electronics.
maurometallo Posted July 1, 2010 Share #17 Posted July 1, 2010 Eddie, A beautiful series of photos of a beautiful instrument, exquisitely taken with a cool, cool camera... Enough said!

There's something about a film M + a Leica 35 or 50 lens + a roll of Tri-X combination that simply cannot be replaced by electronics. Nice work. Sounds like you may have one camera too many. I've been downsizing myself. In my case I'm selling some of my film bodies, since they remain dormant for the most part. The M8 stays, it remains my favorite. ezc203 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Share #19 Posted July 1, 2010 Mauro, Wilfredo - Thank you guys for viewing and commenting. Even though the X1 is stunning and takes great picture, I just can't give up my M8 (my first Leica). I just love it too much
