Dearest Victor,

That's so members with only one shot don't get embarassed ! :-))

Here's a second for you !!

(Taken at same New Year's event). It's fun most of the time.

Not much of a picture taking day yesterday, it was dull and grey all day. Just a snap on the way down to feed the cows.

Putting away the holiday decorations I came across this Cuban Tree Boa in my storage shed. The Animal Control Officer will relocate the boa - across the road for all I know.

Peace, health, and prosperity to all in the New Year.

a bit late. A day in the life of my imagination. I waited until Jan. 1st to begin this project. Rented the crinoline underskirts- borrowed a 60mm macro (R3 and velvia) and shot too much film.

Ladies, Gentlemen,

I spend the beginning of the new year in Paris, and had a partially disappointing day, as one roll

of film didn't transport in my camera, and I lost all daytime photos taken while strolling through

the Paris parks... So in the evening of January 1st I set out with my kids, and walked down the

Avenue des Champs Elysees - in pooring Rain - and snapped away. Here's one of the results.

Kind regards, C.

I was staying in Japan over the New Year

Early hours of 1st January 2007 in Tokyo. Around 12.30 a.m.

Going to Gokokuji to greet the New Year.

Checking to see whether the New Year promises good fortune. (If it turns out that the message you have drawn contains bad luck, you can get rid of it by tying the paper to a tree.)

John, I think your camera is due for an update! That beautiful shot of fireworks over the bridge seems to have a lot of streaks and green blobs. LOL

I'll duck for cover now.;)

Cheers,

Erl

Thanks, I assume your kidding, the streaking is from the wind blowing southwards..its the effect I wanted..so I punched it up to 16 seconds to maximize the effect.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, I had no access to the web in Bali and I just came back to Banda Aceh last night. Here is my contribution.

It's really interesting to see the variety of the contributions here.

Happy New Year!

Yes, of course! I just couldn't resist a little humour in the wake of the M8 .... business.;)

I assumed it was in fact wind. Great effect and variation on so many fireworks shots.

Cheers,

Erl

Thanks Erl... my only complaint is the compression has really "smushed" the image quality..this comes from a 650 mg file..its huge.....

Conrad, dramatic shot, glad to see nothing "seismic" has happened to you over there. Happy New Year to you as well.

Regards, Leicamann
