this is the place to post your shots, which must have been taken on January 1st 2007. Please refer to the linked post, for the other "rules", especially with regards to not using any vehicular transport to take them.

Have fun folks!

(P.S. I am posting this now, so that all of us in Tahiti don't feel left out. It will be Jan 1st there in about 3 hours, so, get ready!)

O.K. I've got my image ready. It's midday here on Jan 1. I took it an hour ago. Do we post in this thread or is there a special 'image thread' for this exhibition?

I'll keep shooting, just in case I get a better one, but I doubt it! Will post as soon as I am clear where to put it, so to speak.:D

Cheers,

Erl

P.S. Shooting is a great way to clear those hangovers.. LOL (er... quietly).

Every day I walk my dog (Merlin) along this track. I decided that a pic of us doing just that is typical of 'us' as I alway carry a camera as well.

This is a self portrait, shot on time delay using a tripod and counting while we ran at the camera! If nothing else, it was fun.:)

Really looking forward to everyone else's efforts. I guess some of you aren't even out of bed yet.;)

Cheers,

Erl

Excellent shot Erl!

A great way to begin 2007!

Looks like Dirk beat the gun, so will have to start again. :)

(I took some shots on slide film I had in my M7 today, but need to have this processed, in the next day or two)

See you next week.

Cheers

Nice shots guys, and Happy New Year!

These are exactly what I was hoping for.

We took our dog out for a walk this morning, too, so I thought I'd take you on a tour of the village, if that's OK? All R8/DMR/19

Start off at the newly refurbished "Boathouse" - much better than the un-refurbished...

Then, a walk along the Parade

Past Vine House

End up at The Harp

Looking for the dog with the Christmas present :)

And finally, confession of all at the Parish Church.

Oh my, there have been some very good posts already this year. Here are two from when we just got home from a New Year's Eve dinner, which reminded us why we usually stay in and have guests instead. Barbara was checking out her hair upon getting home. The EXIF info on thse arewrong since I've not reset the camera since returning from PNG

Well, I'm not sure what to post so here's a couple. The first photo I took this year at a house party in Brighton, and the morning after taking a much need walk along the front. Fat Boy Slim is perfoming live on the beach later today - it will be absolutely packed so we left early! Both images Panaleica LC5.

Happy New Year to all forum members.

Well here are mine...

2006 ended and 2007 began in the Mort Arms in Tyldesley. By tradition, just after midnight a conga winds its way from the Black Horse next door through the Mort and then out again. So this was the beginning of 2007...

Refreshed, this morning I went for a walk. The area I live in is not really as rural as the following two photographs suggest, although this is only about 15 minutes walk from where I live

Someone had decided to plant some car tyres in a ditch, perhaps the garden centre had sold out of water lilies?

Finally I passed the parish church in Tyldesley. I'd never noticed this before, but perhaps I have an ancestor buried there.

So that's it, New Years day 2007 in photographs. All the b&w were Panasonic LX2, colour was Canon 5D and 50mm Summicron.
