gwelland Posted June 21, 2010 Share #12 Posted June 21, 2010 So ... Did anyone actually get their lens yet? I thought that Leica were saying shipping would be mid July, not mid June. #2 on my dealer's list ... Probably see it next June
hoppyman Posted June 22, 2010 Share #13 Posted June 22, 2010 Aagh! This country (Australia) still has multiple back orders for the OLD model, all of which will apparently be offered whatever new lens stock arrives before any of the new orders can be addressed. I ordered on Day One on principle but don't expect to see my order anytime soon. Maybe we need a lens order register thread like the M9 one! I have a feeling that those folks with back orders for some other lens models (like the 50 Summilux ASPH.) may fill the first few hundred posts. gwelland Posted June 22, 2010 Share #15 Posted June 22, 2010 Aagh! This country (Australia) still has multiple back orders for the OLD model, all of which will apparently be offered whatever new lens stock arrives before any of the new orders can be addressed. This shouldn't happen if you ensure that you request p/n 11663 and NOT just 35 Summilux ASPH or the old p/n 11874 (which is what B&H has listed on it's web site). Had one overnight to try out - it's simply superb! But could you buy it? Having a loaner is a big difference to having a keeper.

Clandrel Posted June 24, 2010 Author Share #18 Posted June 24, 2010 I got mine last friday. Beautiful lens. The focus ring is amazingly balanced. I also love the new hood. And it draws as the best 35mm should:) Extremely sharp, with lot's of character. /c
