Rona!d Posted February 7, 2016 Share #8337  Posted February 7, 2016 Formel V/Formula Vee is right, Olaf.  It´s a 1965 Apal, just 55 hp, 160 km/h.  In late 1964 Porsche (on behalf of Volkswagen) imported 10 Formula Vee cars as kits to Germany, Porsche completed them. Makers of those US imports were Beachcar and Formcar. In 1965 was the first race presentation in Germany (Norisring + Nürburgring) and the belgium company Apal started to make Formula Vee cars the same year. In 1966 the first real racing season began in Germany and with lot´s of modifications this series is still alive until today.  Famous drivers were: Emerson Fittipaldi, Nelson Piquet, Niki Lauda, Keke Rosberg, Jochen Rindt, Jochen Maas, Marc Surer, Arie Luyendyk ...
