Gerd, although it is not "THE ORIGINAL", it´s close enough. Good eye!

It´s a 1955 replica of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Evocazione C-52. Made by Carrozzeria Coriasco, Torino based on an Alfa Romeo 1900 Super.

I have a wider crop on my harddrive, here some more photos and info.

Gerd,

Interesting - my HK 500 series 2 (like the series 1 but with twice as many mistakes) had a chrome divider line down the middle of the rear lights. It must rank along with the Jaguar XK150 3.8S as the worst car I ever had. I assume they tested for overheating in northern Sweden in the winter.

Wilson -

I remember the tail light lenses being flush with the tops of the wings with a thing chrome stripe -- Not the more complex ones shown here.

Stuart,

That is what mine were like. Originally it would have been a chrome strip but like much of the chrome on the car, it was such poor quality that most of it had flaked off. I think to save money, the supplier had missed out the nickel bonding layer.

I'd be surprised if we hadn't had this one in the past.
