gmo Posted May 4, 2014 Share #6327 Posted May 4, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can this be the original Alfa Romeo Disco Volante or 1900 C52 Built 1952 - 1953 so that makes it second half of last century. Regards Gerd
Rona!d Posted May 4, 2014 Share #6328 Posted May 4, 2014 Gerd, although it is not "THE ORIGINAL", it´s close enough. Good eye! It´s a 1955 replica of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Evocazione C-52. Made by Carrozzeria Coriasco, Torino based on an Alfa Romeo 1900 Super. I have a wider crop on my harddrive, here some more photos and info. Welcome, dear visitor! wlaidlaw Posted May 7, 2014 Share #6336 Posted May 7, 2014 Gerd, Interesting - my HK 500 series 2 (like the series 1 but with twice as many mistakes) had a chrome divider line down the middle of the rear lights. It must rank along with the Jaguar XK150 3.8S as the worst car I ever had. I assume they tested for overheating in northern Sweden in the winter. stuny Posted May 7, 2014 Share #6337 Posted May 7, 2014 Wilson - I remember the tail light lenses being flush with the tops of the wings with a thing chrome stripe -- Not the more complex ones shown here.

Stuart, That is what mine were like. Originally it would have been a chrome strip but like much of the chrome on the car, it was such poor quality that most of it had flaked off. I think to save money, the supplier had missed out the nickel bonding layer. Wilson
Toshack10 Posted May 8, 2014 Share #6339 Posted May 8, 2014 I'd be surprised if we hadn't had this one in the past. Welcome, dear visitor!
