wlaidlaw Posted December 13, 2013 Share #5852 Posted December 13, 2013 Stuart, I think a problem with your last image is that the side view of one heavily sponsored race car looks much like another. In most series for tintops, most are now “silhouette” cars anyway with a composite shell over a standard chassis for the series (NGTC = New Generation Touring Car, etc). Given that the same laws of aerodynamics apply to all, even the bodywork all ends up looking very similar. It is probably only the sponsorship and paintwork that allow most folks to identify which car is which. However, maybe you are right and it is time to wind up this thread. stuny Posted December 13, 2013 Share #5853 Posted December 13, 2013 I hope not. This is actually a standard, current production vehicle used on the street, but with advertising on it. the country of origin is suggested in the image. Here's a slightly broader view: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Wilson I recently saw a test made by a tv channel. They put three different modern compact cars beside each other and just obscured the logo. Almost nobody guessed right. wlaidlaw Posted December 13, 2013 Share #5856 Posted December 13, 2013 Given that it is an Italian aperitif, (rather nice mixed with Prosecco BTW) I am also going to guess a Fiat but a different one - a Panda. Wilson

stuny Posted December 13, 2013 Share #5859 Posted December 13, 2013 The projector headlamps suggest rather recent and first made me think of Ferrari. But I cannot think of a Ferrari with the V engine designator behind the front wheels. Hmmmm.
