Since this has stalled, how about another view, which should make it a lot easier:

I thought that either Rona|d or Wilson would get it (unless of course Allen Brewer were still active on the Forum, living near the old Auburn, Cord Duesenberg factory). Wilson is close but Ronald is correct. Here's a nother view of the Auburn Boat tailed Speedster: Your turn

Sorry guys, took me a while to find something nice and the weekend was full of work.

Please name the maker, model, style and coachbuilder. Extra points for year made and name of the current owner.

Ronald,

I would guess this is the Shapiro Schebera Skiff 54PB. If it is that one, I wonder if there is something “wrong” with this car, as it keeps changing hands, which is unusual for a Ghost. Most people who buy Ghosts, keep them for years, unless they upgrade to a better one. It keeps appearing in the catalogues that RM send me. There are a number of notorious “Auction Queens”, which may look fantastic but are not nice to drive and keep reappearing.

Nope, it isn´t, Wilson.

You are right about good Ghosts and I think this one is a keeper and is hard to be upgraded by another one of this model.

No experience how this individual car drives, but the company who restored it should know what to do.

Here another crop which may be helpful.

Ronald,

There is a dark red 1914 one similar to this, being a twin screen tourer with I think a Barker body (the rearward spare wheel mount is a common Barker feature) but I cannot remember who owns it.

Ronald,

The red one I mentioned above is a London to Edinburgh car like ours but later. Our 1911 one is bodied by Weymann, so maybe this L to E is as well. Our early one was converted to a 4 speed box in period, with an overdrive top. The only change we have made is to fit the Continental bigger brakes, as we needed new drums anyway.
