The only other car apart from Porsche that I can think of that might meet your description and would have the required differential in wheel sizes would be an Alpine A610 or a Tatra 613 but I don't think anyone was ever brave enough to take a Tatra on a race track!

If it is one, I have a story: The chef of my Pizzeria bought one (20V) and in the beginning he loved me, because I was the ONLY one who used to say: "Like a little Ferrari!" After a while he asked me what I think is similar to a Ferrari. I replied: "Wait for the first drive belt exchange!". After 60.000 kms he had the car at the dealership for that job and they needed 17 hrs worktime for the whole story. The complete engine had to be put out of the car and some other work summed up pretty expensive. Next time we had lunch, he said: "You are right, now I understand - like a little Ferrari!". His next car was a Golf ;)

Hahaha nice story :D

Hints:

- it's a recent car, still in production (almost unchanged style-wise)

- it's neither French nor Italian

Another detail (the "base" color is standard, but the previous owner painted some details in white).

OK, another detail, now it should be pretty straightforward :)

I took this picture in May 2006 on the Flüelapass, I was driving to the Salzburgring for a trackday, and I only drove on mountain passes and B-roads. Lovely trip. Apart from the semi-slick tyres on wet asphalt :D
