Bugatti!

Well done! Here is the whole car. It is a 1937 57SC Gangloff Coupé (one of 2 original SC's made, although many of the other 43 S models made, had superchargers added later). The S stands for surbaissé (lowered/underslung chassis) and the C for compresseur (supercharger).

It was one of the cars on my bucket list to drive and I drove this one a couple of times last year. A little bit disappointing. It is supposed to have 200BHP from its supercharged 3.3 litre straight 8 DOHC engine. Well they must be shetland ponies rather than clydesdale shire horses. The 8C2600 Alfa with only 175BHP feels a lot quicker.

The steering also loads up a lot in corners and I am not convinced that the front axle wedges don't need adjusting on this car, which alters the caster angle. I spoke to the person who looks after it and he says it makes it too nervous if you do that. Well I would rather have nervous than heavy steering. All Bugattis are nervous on the steering and the responsiveness is one of their joys. This one steers like a 4.3 Alvis Silver Eagle.

It is a stunningly pretty car however and unlike most Bugattis, the brakes work well.

Pardon, I have to moderate at this point:

The unwritten but accepted rules of this thread say: The one who guessed the last (official) car right, can post the next car. Our forum friend "iedei" guessed the Alfa right, so it´s his turn, no matter if other forum members show what they had the opportunity to drive last year or have in their stable.
