Now; that really was an inspired choice, Wilson, but although it isn't a Viscount there are many detail similarities of which I had been completely unaware before your suggestion. I can't do much more at this moment but will add more in a wee while all things going well. Philip.

wlaidlaw Posted May 9 Share #23352 Posted May 9 As usual for me, open to all. Stuart, It was the rectangular form rear view mirror streamlining that was the clue for me. There was a sister MG supercharged Magnette car on the Colorado Grand 1000 mile classic car Rally, when we did that a few years ago, in our Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. stuny Posted May 12 Share #23354 Posted May 12 It looks like one of General Motors' A-bodies (such as the Chevy Chevelle) from about 1970, but not Chevrolet. If that's correct, it may be Buick, Oldsmobile or Pontiac.

IkarusJohn Posted May 12 Share #23357 Posted May 12 Indeed, Graham. I don’t know if it was re-badged under another GM marque for the US. Somehow, I don’t think so.
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted May 12 Share #23358 Posted May 12 I have no idea which model. The only one I was ever familiar with was the Kingswood? (owned by a mate in Perth). Never knew the year, his had some major mods including a Chevy V8, different gearbox and back axle.
