It is a 3500 GT, with slightly different bodywork than the 5000 GT.  It's also the first Maser that caught my attention, many decades ago.

In 1982, I decided I was going to buy myself a second hand super car. My choice was between a Maserati Bora, a Lamborghini Jarama and a Ferrari 365 GTC/4. The Bora was a bank repossession car and sadly had been allowed to sit in a damp warehouse for two years, while the legal bickering was going on. All the high pressure (Citroen green fluid) hydraulics were either seized or leaking. Even the pedal box adjustment would not move (the seats are fixed). I spoke to my local Ferrari/Lamborghini garage, Carrera Sport in Haywards Heath to get their recommendation and he (Mick Pullen) was very keen for me to get the Jarama and to run a mile from the Bora but in the end I went for the Ferrari because the annual insurance was one third of the cost of that for the Lamborghini. The Bora sadly was both literally and figuratively a non-starter. The Ferrari was a great car apart from the dreaded Italian tin worm but after 8 years, I sold it to a friend for over double what I had paid for it. The only big expenses were tyres (215/70 x 15 either Michelin XWX or Pirelli CN36), which it munched through at an alarming rate, large amounts of fuel (10-12 MPG) a new radiator core and a new water pump to cure overheating at high speed. Now the 365 GTC/4 cars fetch well over a hundred thousand pounds. I paid £7,500 for it.

It's evident this thread is on life support, nevertheless it would be a pity to loose a 10 year + old thread which at one time seemed to have a robust following with quite a few participants......and God knows we have only identified a relatively small percentage of all the automobiles ever made.

Let's see if we can generate some interest in solving this one. The usual info, if you please; who made it, what model is it and when was it made.

The time period in which the blue car above and the 135 Delahayes were produced are roughly similar, that is from about the mid-39s to about the mid 1950s, but the car is not French.

I might add that nothing in the above crop has been cloned or blanked out to make identification more difficult, but it does contain meaningful clues.......

Peugeot Darl'mat? It is the only French car I can think of with bolt on wire wheels until the Facel Vega arrived.
