I was wondering if it wasn’t Japanese not European?

Me too, but......

...after seeing this I'm going back to thinking of it being European. For some reason those wheels remind me of some styles from Campgnolo but not quite enough to help me!

Yup European 👍

one of 24 examples only….

Wow! OK; in which case we are looking at something created by a company with the means to produce a very low-volume limited-edition model.

The wheels and headlamp treatment look distinctly Italian so in an attempt to narrow down the manufacturer are we, perhaps, in the world of Maserati?...

Philip.

EDIT :😸...I see Nigel posted the correct answer as I was typing my own reply!...

AFAIK they were built by Zagato in aluminium from stripped Integrales that had to be purchased as complete cars as FIAT wouldn’t sell them chassis/drivetrains.

Apparently so, Nigel!

I've just had a quick google and came across this entry. Interesting story concerning a very interesting car!

While waiting for confirmation from Phil I’m doing some research of something I took a pic of recently that I’m not sure had a production run and details are a bit scant in the obvious places. I think it might prove too much of a “stinker” maybe but it could be fun…🤔

AFAIK from auction sales at least some date from 1994 as against the 92/93 listing.
RM Sothebys listed production number 15 as a 1994 construction when sold in Germany in 2021…so Wikipedia might be a bit “out” 🤔

A beauty but I maybe perversely prefer “il mostro” in the background (but coupe not roadster)

Yet another car I should have bought when given the chance 🙄

I had a saloon version of Il Mostro, an Autodelta 3.5L Alfa 75. Not the most refined of cars. I stopped on the way from collecting it from the dealer in Newick East Sussex, to check under the bonnet that it really had a 6 cylinder engine. It was an ex Alfa Dover demonstrator car and I suspect that much of the recorded 6500 miles was on track. It was certainly very quick but not a nice car., rough and noisy The 2.5L Alfa 75 I had before it, was a much nicer car. The Autodelta had an enormous appetite for rear tyres with its very tight limited slip differential. The first car I had with 17" wheels and 40 profile tyres.

Some time before I bought it, I was invited to an Alfa Romeo day at Brands Hatch. At the end of the day, Will Hoy, (he was then the current UK saloon car champion) who was one of the demo drivers, said to the two girls who were doing the organising: "Come on girls, I promised you a ride round the circuit". As I was still there and had taken him round the circuit earlier at a fairly leisurely pace, in a 1932 Alfa 8C Monza, he invited me to come along. Just as we set off, he said: "It's the last run of the day, let's see if we can melt the tyres." What a full time professional can do with a car is very different to what I as an amateur racer could do. He did melt the tyres.
