pippy Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14541 Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) It sort-of reminds me of what I seem to remember a Radical looks like but I've never seen one in the flesh. Could it be a Radical........erm......Rapture?... Wild Guess! Philip. Edited February 4, 2021 by pippy
Advertisement Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Hi pippy, Take a look here Name this car..... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

I'm delighted that I may have finally stumbled onto a car that the 'usual suspects' who frequent this thread won't be able to identify on their first guess. Philip, no, not a Radical.......but you are more or less in the right ball park as far as the type of car we're looking at. As an additional clue, the thing is made in Britain - and NO, it's not a one-off. JZG
stuny Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14543 Posted February 4, 2021 Well, at least Philip got the right country of origin. And since it was at cars & coffee, it must be exotic.
NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14544 Posted February 4, 2021 Has a hint of a Noble about it - particularly with all that carbon fibre. They have been keen on “multi headlights” after the earliest original M12.
NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14545 Posted February 4, 2021 Hadn’t seen Philip’s thoughts -didn’t refresh an old page link- so if it’s UK it could be the other car company working out of a shed in Leicestershire (yes there are 2!) ..ie Ultima? Not entirely sure of their models after the original GTR
John Z. Goriup Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14546 Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) Nigel, not a Noble, but you did guess correctly at Ultima. It's an Ultima RS, with a Chevrolet V8 LT5 supercharged motor. Your turn, ..........and that convinces me that there isn't a car from anywhere, or ever made that someone on this forum can't identify - my compliments. JZG Welcome, dear visitor! NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14547 Posted February 4, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bear in mind that - certainly in the UK at least - you can build these yourself at home...😬

At least we had more than enough cars which needed lots of hints and that makes this thread so entertaining, not? Congratulations to this choice, I knew I had seen these „eyes“ somewhere and the orange unit in them looked a bit selected without „design love“ but it would took me lots of research what car that is, so I gave up before the startline. The use of visible carbon fibre is somehow funny, I have to check if there is any further carbon fibre which had been painted on this car. Congratulations to the winner not to forget! There was a certain price pressure compared to real hyper cars.
NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14550 Posted February 4, 2021 To push the chances of an unknown car I'm going to post something that is possibly stretching the rules...but there's been prototypes etc recently. Just for fun does anyone know this interesting car? It has been shown/exhibited. I will post various other views as we go. Welcome, dear visitor! Rona!d Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14551 Posted February 4, 2021 Could this be a car for frequent visitors of mainly british car shows?
Rona!d Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14552 Posted February 4, 2021 Second „assumption“ the maker of this car also made „serial“ cars? (not necessarily in large numbers) As you can see, I‘m heading back to our „old“ way of getting closer.
NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14553 Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) Yes...or Le Mans Classic (for the first question) No to the second (hence it's for fun only unlike the obviously serious regular posts 😉) Edited February 4, 2021 by NigelG
pippy Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14554 Posted February 4, 2021 Is it a Fairthorpe Electron? Philip.
NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14555 Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) No - but I'm going to Google that... OK - went down a google rabbit hole 😀. I only knew the later cars - Zeta/TX. There seem to be plenty of modified cars/specials but it's not a Fairthorpe of any flavour. Edited February 4, 2021 by NigelG

There were versions made with- and without faired-in headlamps and I thought it might have been a slightly 'race-prepped' and modded version of the latter....but I was wrong!... I'm slightly annoyed because try as I might I can't get the name 'Turner' out of my head to make way for more likely candidates. Were there ever any TVR Vixens made with faired-in headlamps, I wonder?............ OK; Thinking Hat goes Back On.... Philip. NigelG Posted February 4, 2021 Share #14557 Posted February 4, 2021 To remind you that this is very very hard - look at the answer to Rona!d’s second question....

Rona!d Posted February 5, 2021 Share #14559 Posted February 5, 2021 The car wasn‘t racing in the official LM Classic races, right? Just on display at a clubs sight or the like?
Rona!d Posted February 5, 2021 Share #14560 Posted February 5, 2021 Just to avoid we are going nuts, we can exclude this is a kids car? The car seems to be pretty tiny, hence I ask. There is a kids series at LMC 😉
