NigelG Posted June 5, 2019 Share #12363 Posted June 5, 2019 Good Call! - thought the tight crop might make it look a bit more "sporty"..... Here it is in all it's glory (My mother had a one with a white roof and red interior). It's actually a "Deluxe" version. Welcome, dear visitor! Actually I was fooled by the 'exotic' label and my first thoughts flew to the likes of Pegaso but then something about the 'red star' badge awoke a memory from the dim and distant... Anyhow; I'm on location so not much to choose from on the laptop but here's something taken yonks ago (apologies for the poor scan quality!) which - assuming you don't already know it like the back of your hand - might get a few of you thinking... Wilson That's the very fellow, Wilson. Well played, Sir! Here she is as snapped many years ago when she was still part of the permanent collection in the museum at La Sarthe. Considering how little was changed between this, the first Concept version, and the eventual production 206GT it shows how well Pininfarina executed their brief. Headlights into the front wings and transverse- instead of longitudinal power-plant orientation being the most obvious differences. Whole thing; Welcome, dear visitor! NigelG Posted June 5, 2019 Share #12374 Posted June 5, 2019 Sorry - my fault for being off topic - it’s a common question when someone posts a shot of their M etc. in a thread about something else.... I was looking at the leatherwork on the vehicle. (The correct response might have been “Harry Benz” ) But I’m wondering if it might be American c.1890
wlaidlaw Posted June 5, 2019 Share #12375 Posted June 5, 2019 Nigel, I would guess finest saddle leather and you are way out on period. Wilson

Rona!d Posted June 6, 2019 Share #12378 Posted June 6, 2019 This may well be a vintage electric vehicle. Not sure about the wheels, maybe not original. We have to get closer in steps: American or European made? Or other?
NigelG Posted June 6, 2019 Share #12379 Posted June 6, 2019 +1 for electric I think. The lamps are also rather intriguing....
wlaidlaw Posted June 6, 2019 Share #12380 Posted June 6, 2019 Good thinking about electric. Wheels are original design from period photos, although I am sure rebuilt at some point. This vehicle has been sympathetically restored and repainted since I first saw it at a classic car auction in Paris a few years ago, when it was looking rather tired.
