pippy Posted January 23, 2018 Share #10681  Posted January 23, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) One passed us on the highway in September - a 570S. Perhaps this is it?  Absolutely spot-on, Stu. I happen to park right next to this Mac. every Monday morning (and his 488 before the Mac arrived). It really is a bit of pure sculpture in 'real life'.  Customary overview;  Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted January 23, 2018 Share #10682  Posted January 23, 2018 Thank you, Philip - I rushed a photo out the back window of the car service on the way to the airport. Stunning, and a relative bargain in the supercar arena. If I can find those photos on my home computer I'll post them here.  Let's try this one - One of the cars I really liked when it first released:   Welcome, dear visitor! willeica Posted January 24, 2018 Share #10688  Posted January 24, 2018 Here is a bonnet ornament. willeica Posted January 24, 2018 Share #10690  Posted January 24, 2018 That is correct. It is actually a Vauxhall 20-60 Type T, but there were so many variants I will give it to you. This car is a film star, as it appeared in the 1968 film 'The Devil Rides out'.  Here is the full bonnet  Welcome, dear visitor! vanellus Posted January 25, 2018 Share #10691  Posted January 25, 2018 Thank you William.  A sculptor „abused“ this car to create a piece of art. Does anybody know the model? stuny Posted January 25, 2018 Share #10692  Posted January 25, 2018 For starters this seems to be a full size General Motors car, back when full size Detroit iron was huge '60s to '80s

stuny Posted January 25, 2018 Share #10696  Posted January 25, 2018 Skylark is too small. Chevy full size - Impala, Bellaire. But it could be a Buick Electra. I'm thinking 1970s.
vanellus Posted January 26, 2018 Share #10697 Â Posted January 26, 2018 Yes Stuart, it is a Buick Electra 225. Impressive memory for shapes. The Artist is Wolf Vostell and he leads our mass produktion and consumption of meat ad absurdum.
stuny Posted January 26, 2018 Share #10698  Posted January 26, 2018 Thank you, Günter. It helps that I've been a car enthusiast at least since I was ten. The basic shape is '70s General Motors full size sedan and coupe, but the line of chrome longitudinally in the center of the hood/bonnet was what made me think Buick, and Electra was their full size car. the trunk/boot is large enough to store several adult murder victims. At that time Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac shared a great deal, called "badge engineering, which is practices by other auto maters as well.  Let's try this one:  Welcome, dear visitor!
