Rona!d Posted May 30, 2017 Share #9841  Posted May 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) A 6.3L v8 in a Pagoda SL would be an insanely unbalanced car.   The period 3,5 ltr. 8 cyl. which Hatch & Sons put in, might work.
Advertisement Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Hi Rona!d, Take a look here Name this car..... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wlaidlaw Posted May 31, 2017 Share #9842  Posted May 31, 2017 If it would not be seen as a mongrel (which sadly it would be), the best engine for a Pagoda might well be a Buick/Oldsmobile/Rover light alloy V8. This is a very compact and light engine and is available in sizes up to 5 litres. In road going form, the engine can produce a reliable power of up to 400 BHP, with TEC or similar fuel injection. It would be a fair bit lighter than the M119 V8 engine if this is what is used in the Mechatronik Pagoda but they may have used the later 3 valve/cyl M113 or M155 V8 engine, which is lighter.  Wilson

dkCambridgeshire Posted June 3, 2017 Share #9855  Posted June 3, 2017 (edited) I think that 4th is the clue, but apparently misinterpreted it   Nope … But Wilson left a clue. The manufacturer also made a sports car which competed successfully at Le Mans and specialist coachbuilders Farina, Beutler, Mead, Ghia and Abbot provide attractive bodies … but the car illustrated has a standard body.    dunk Edited June 3, 2017 by dkCambridgeshire

dkCambridgeshire Posted June 3, 2017 Share #9858  Posted June 3, 2017 (edited) Not an Allard … but if it was would also need the model. The manufacturer also made small commercial vehicles.   dunk Edited June 3, 2017 by dkCambridgeshire
