If it would not be seen as a mongrel (which sadly it would be), the best engine for a Pagoda might well be a Buick/Oldsmobile/Rover light alloy V8. This is a very compact and light engine and is available in sizes up to 5 litres. In road going form, the engine can produce a reliable power of up to 400 BHP, with TEC or similar fuel injection. It would be a fair bit lighter than the M119 V8 engine if this is what is used in the Mechatronik Pagoda but they may have used the later 3 valve/cyl M113 or M155 V8 engine, which is lighter.

Max, the winner of the most recent puzzle wrote that he has nothing to post.  To keep this alive, who would like to post our next puzzle car?

I think that 4th is the clue, but apparently misinterpreted it

Nope … But Wilson left a clue. The manufacturer also made a sports car which competed successfully at Le Mans and specialist coachbuilders Farina, Beutler, Mead, Ghia and Abbot provide attractive bodies … but the car illustrated has a standard body.

The marque is no longer manufactured but has a thriving owners' club with good parts availability.

Water cooled flat 4 OHV engine and a successful rally car.  The early 1950s sports car variant (different model name) was capable of 100mph.

Should be sufficient clues now for both the marque and model ID.
