Many more hints:

The maker in question also produced trucks, buses and big Diesel engines up to 11,5 ltr., even engines for planes.

The final truck under their logo was made in the early 1990s I think. The first trucks and Diesel engines were licensed German constructions.

Sorry, no Tatra but similar ingenious.

Another hint: Unlike Tatra the company in question still produces passenger vehicles and they are well known for them. They were also pretty successful in making race cars.

It is an Alfa Romeo, I would guess a B2500 straight six or maybe a 1900. I think the coachbuilder is Pininfarina, abeit not one of his better efforts. He did a very similar body on a Cisitalia.

I think the full name for the vehicle is the 6C B2500 "Sport Freccia" . Some of these bodies were later transplanted to 1900 chassis and the sexier 6C chassis given new bodywork. That happened on the 6C we had where the body made by De Mola in Belgium in 1940 was originally on a 6C 1750 supercharged chassis. The body was then switched to a 6C 2500 and the Pininfarina body off the 6C2500 moved to a 1900 Alfa in around 1949.

Good enough, Wilson. That was an interesting wide range guessing ;-)

The right name should be Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport 'Freccia d'Oro' (= Golden Arrow) your turn!

Too bad this one is not one of the rare "Cabriolet Coupes" which in reality was a large sun roof.

Coachbuilder: I thought Touring, but it was Alfa Romeos own job according to my information source.

I will try to find a new car tomorrow. Today's little task has been installing a voltage stabiliser in the very warm boiler room in my cellar to try and prevent the over-sensitive electronics of the boiler tripping out.

Oh yes, these little daily tasks in times you cannot get good craftsmen because they are all booked out for weeks and don´t come for "little" jobs. I´d prefer working on an old boat or car instead ;-)
