Rona!d Posted February 8, 2016 Share #8346 Â Posted February 8, 2016 That car had some different grille designs which could make it complicated, but the front beams never changed, I think. Will post the next when I'm at home.
wlaidlaw Posted February 8, 2016 Share #8347  Posted February 8, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) That car had some different grille designs which could make it complicated, but the front beams never changed, I think. Will post the next when I'm at home.  I had a friend who had a Gordini Simca 8 Barchetta, when I was at university in Switzerland and from memory it did not have those headlights but just plain round ones. That is now probably a valuable car but he bought it in France for the equivalent of around £100 in 1963.
Rona!d Posted February 9, 2016 Share #8348  Posted February 9, 2016 I had a friend who had a Gordini Simca 8 Barchetta, when I was at university in Switzerland and from memory it did not have those headlights but just plain round ones. That is now probably a valuable car but he bought it in France for the equivalent of around £100 in 1963.  Wilson, the Gordini Barchetta is a completely different design. The 8 Sport was a Farina design made by Facel. Coupe & Cabrio available. I think those were "ladies" cars, very expensive, all handmade, nice design for Nice and Monaco. Fits perfect to their husbands Ferrari 166.  The Barchetta of your friend might be worth something today.
Rona!d Posted February 9, 2016 Share #8349  Posted February 9, 2016 @ all: If someone wants to jump in and has something nice, please proceed. I´d like to see a "beginner" starting in this thread, who possibly had no chance with all the specialists cars. I will wait until tomorrow evening with posting a new one. So you have some time to be quicker!
