VW 1500 Limousine?

Correct make and nearly the right engine size but Limousine? It is generally known by another name and no not “that @£$%^* thing!”

Limousine must mean something very different in German. In English it is a 7 metre long extended white Cadillac, full of drunk girls or stoned rock stars (or both). In English that car is usual called a Type 3 VW notchback 1600. Below is the picture I cropped and the only one of the whole car I can find. Funnily enough, I am following right behind it :) The driver of the VW is the competitions director of Audi/VW UK.

PS I was joking about it being my next rally car.

wlaidlaw, in Gemany such a SGT (Stoned-Girl-Transporter) is called "Stretchlimo".

Now, let´s try again: It´s a rare item, but easy to guess. (The right one :D)

You'll know the lovely 74 Carrera that Nick just rebuilt then. Been following the rebuild of that car over on DDK

No I don’t know that one but I will search for it. My brother has a ’73 viper green original 2.7 RS lightweight (ex Frank Sytner) in prefect working order that I was driving a couple of weeks ago. He asked how it compared with my ’77 3.3L RSR. I said the 2.7 Lightweight was like a well brought-up young lady: Sleek, sophisticated and well behaved. My RSR was like a 17 year old hooligan on speed: Fast, noisy, twitchy and needing a very firm hand to control it.

Back in the 1970’s, I had the metalflake viper green 2.4 911S that was the 1972 London Motor Show stand car. By the time I got it in 1975, it was a 2.6 Kremer and a real “widow maker” of a car. I sold it some 11 months later before I killed myself in it, having had a few near shaves. I also could not keep up with its immense appetite for rear tyres. The next owner severely damaged himself in the car and wrote it off.

Günter -

Thank you. I saw one on the street perhaps in '62 a couple of miles from my parent's suburban home. Please show us the full view of the car.

Here's the next one:
