likalar Posted January 29, 2014 Share #6061 Posted January 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is really nameless, but will post it here for entertainment. The early 60s VW part is obvious; can you name the origin of the rest of it? I saw this in 1972, NYC at an opened garage door. I remember going in to get a real look, and was chased away by a woman, and never saw the rest of it. Larry Welcome, dear visitor! wlaidlaw Posted January 29, 2014 Share #6063 Posted January 29, 2014 There is a slight flavour of Studebaker about those rear fins but really I don’t know. However this one might be its Dad Wilson Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted January 30, 2014 Share #6064 Posted January 30, 2014 Wilson - I too was thinking it resenbled a Studi Hawk. Regardless, it's probably from the mid to late '50s.
likalar Posted January 30, 2014 Share #6065 Posted January 30, 2014 The fin car was once a 1957 Chrysler 300c. According to Wiki, only 2500 were built. Here's a reference: 1957 Chrysler 300: Rear View Larry
wlaidlaw Posted January 30, 2014 Share #6066 Posted January 30, 2014 Isn’t that the original Hemi engined car? I don’t think grafting a Beetle body shell onto it, has effected any improvement. Wilson
stuny Posted January 30, 2014 Share #6067 Posted January 30, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The '57-'60 lettered 300 models were pretty amazing cars, but the original 300 in 55 or 56 had the hemi and performed quite well. For its day and place the C was quite good looking.

a.j.z Posted February 5, 2014 Share #6075 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) The colour and the lights are confusing but I guess it is a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider Edited February 5, 2014 by a.j.z
stuny Posted February 5, 2014 Share #6076 Posted February 5, 2014 Andreas. Correct and your turn. the extension of the head restraints is new to the model, and no doubt why Wilson thought of the Saturn Sky. here are some views of the car, shot through the windows at about 6:15 last Friday morning. a.j.z Posted February 5, 2014 Share #6077 Posted February 5, 2014 If this was red or even yellow it woul not have taken that long; I all the time thought that this looks familiar. I will see what I can find but It may take a day or two as I am travelling.
